A

·         Aerobics marathon - Ask you local gym of they will allow you to organise a marathon.

·         Auction of Promises - Local services can offer to donate a promise of, for example a day gardening, cleaning your windows or car. Then these can be auctioned off at a local event.

·         Art show – Are you an artist or photographer? Why not hold an exhibition and donate a percentage of your sales to Hospice Aid UK?


B

·         Bring & Buy sale – At work, in your garden or at your local community centre

·         BBQ – At home. Small charge for burgers or hotdogs

·       Baby competition – Ask colleagues or friends to bring in baby photos of themselves. People pay to guess who’s who – prizes for the person who guesses the most correctly.

·       Baked Bean bath - Get sponsored to sit in a bath of baked beans.

·       Book sale - Dig out all those books and sell them!

·         Bring a pound to work – Ask all your work colleagues simply to bring a pound in for your charity.

·         Cake sale – Bake those favourites and sell them at home, at school or at your local meeting group

·         Car-boot sale – Good excuse for a clearout and to raise vital funds

·         Coffee morning – Perfect for a natter with your friends and raise your bit

·         Car Wash – Wash cars for donations

·         Cycle Ride - take part in a sponsored long distance cycle ride, say from London to Paris

·         Dinner dance – Organise your own dinner dance or ball

·       Darts marathon – Get your local pub involved

·       Disco - Organise a disco or 70's night - with fancy dress!

·         EBay auction – Selling your items on EBay can make you a few pennies and also help with a percentage to charity

·         Fancy dress party – Have fun dressing up for a fee. The best costume wins a prize.

·         Fine Box – If your colleagues swear or are late for work, they pay a fine! The later they are or the worse the swear word, the higher the fine!

·         Fire-walking – Organise your own fire walking night

·         Garden party – Open your garden to the public for a fee!

·         Golf Day – Ask your local Golf club to hold a charity tourament

·         Guess the number – eg: balloons in a car, sweets in a jar etc

·         Give up Chocolate for a week – Can you stand it for that long? Get your friends and family to sponsor you.

·         Help Hospice Aid UK Day – Dedicated day to help your favourite charity

·          ‘Hair-raising’ hair day – Come to work with the freakiest hair style you can do

·         Hairdresser Day – Ask your local hairdressers to offer Free hairdressing for the day for a donation to Hospice Aid UK

·         Ice walking evening- Organise your own ice walk

·         Ice Skating - Get people to sponsor you for how many times you can go around the ring without falling over..

·         Ice Cream  - How much ice cream can you eat in a minute? Ask people to sponsor you and find out.

·         Jumble sale – Ask your local community hall to hold a Jumble sale in aid of Hospice Aid UK

·         Jive or Jazz night – Ask your local pub to hold a Jazz night

·         Jeans Day – Ask you company to allow everyone to wear jeans to work for the day for a fee!

·         Karaoke night – Ask your local pub to hold one 

L

·         Line Dancing evening – Pay an entry fee for a fun packed evening

·         Litter pick-up – Get your local council to sponsor litter collections

·         Lunch less – Set a date for all your colleagues to bring in a packed lunch and then to give you the money they would have spent.

·         Matched donation – Ask your company to match any funds you raise

·       Magical Mystery Tour – Sell tickets to an organised tour & any profits donate to  Hospice Aid UK

·       Match the pet to the owner competition - Ask your colleagues to bring in one photo of themselves and one of their pet. Charge people £1 a time to match up all the photographs

·         Marathons - get fit, raise money and challenge yourself to run a marathon for charity

·       Non-uniform day – Ask your school if you can come to school in clothes that are not your uniform - each child pays £1 for the privilege.

·         Odd job day – offer your services for any odd jobs to your neighbours, friends & family for a donation

·         Overseas Events - take part in an organised overseas trek and have a fantastic holiday and raise money for charity

·         Parachute jump – Check out website for information on how you can Jump for Free

·         Police Cell for a night – Ask your local cop shop if you can use a cell for the night. Then get sponsorship to do it

·         Pub Crawl – Take your collection buckets with you!!

·         Quiz night – Ask you local pub if you can hold one.

·       Quit smoking – Ask friends & family to sponsor you to give up!

·         Raffle – Ask local businesses to donate prizes

·         Running - take part in one of the many organised runs around the country from 5K to a marathon!

·         Sponsored anything!! – Swimathon, Slimathon, Singathon, Walkathon

·         Shave your head or beard – How brave are you?

·         Tombola – Ask local companies or just the locals to donate prizes

·         Teddy bears picnic – Bring your favourite bear along for a small fee.

·         Treasure Hunt – Charge an entry fee and have great fun finding the treasure.

·       Tin – Drop us an email to ask for a collection tin. We’ll be happy to send you one

·         Unwanted gifts sale  - Ask friends & family to give then use them for raffles, tombolas, Ebay auction or car boot sale.

·         Valet Service – Offer to clean cars inside & out for anyone you know

·         Wine & Cheese party – Homemade wine, prizes & donated wine & cheese. Guess the wines country game. Charge for admission & entering games.

·         Welly throwing competition – Whoever throws the furthest wins

·         Xmas bazaar/card sale – Ask your local community to hold the bazaar in aid of Hospice Aid UK

·         X Factor competition – Organise your own singing competition with judges and contestants. Contestants pay a fee for entry.

·         Yard of Ale competition – The locals at your pub will love this one!

·         Zzzzz sponsored nap! – For the more laid back fundraiser
